James has practiced labor and employment law in Jacksonville, Florida since 2015. While attending law school, James worked for Delegal Law Offices as a law clerk and ultimately became an associate attorney when he became a member of the Florida Bar in 2015. In 2019, James was made a shareholder of the firm, which became Delegal & Poindexter, P.A. James currently serves as the President-Elect of the Jacksonville Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section and as the President of the Florida Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association.
James was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida and graduated from Episcopal High School in 2007. James graduated from Rollins College in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. In addition to his academic accomplishments and extracurricular activities, James worked as a legal assistant for a labor and employment firm in Winter Park, Florida. While earning his Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law, James concurrently earned a master’s degree in Business Administration from Jacksonville University where he was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, an international honor society for collegiate schools of business.
